Contest "Create cover of "Miesto IQ" magazine.

1. Contest "Create "City IQ " cover" provision defines the competition objectives, organization and procedures for the award.

2. Competition Organizer - "City IQ“.

3. Aim of the competition - to create a unique magazine "City IQ" NO. 19 cover.

Requirements for participants:

4. Tender can be obtained from: unrestricted age and educational entities, capable to reveal the organizers formulated idea and to create the cover under listed artistic means.

5. The task: to create magazine‘s "City IQ" cover using painting, or computer graphics tools.

6. Subject: the cover subject of direct and figurative sense must meet the following key to "City Life", "Person in the City", "book and reader", "cultural centers".

7. Selection criteria: originality, professionalism, thoroughness, avoiding clichés, composition, technical tools.

8. Notes: authors may submit works made not specifically for this competition, if the works comply with the competition idea and is suitable for magazine cover.

9. Competition stages: each work is published in www.miestoiq.lt portal and is valued by portal visitors.

10. Assessment: The participants will be evaluated and the winners will be published by a special commission. The commission will take account comments and evaluations of visitors in www.miestoiq.lt portal.

11. Awards: First place winner will be awarded magazine‘s annual subcription, honorarium and the winner's work will become "City IQ" No. 19 cover. Second place winner will be awarded publisher‘s "Versus aureus“, a set of books and magazine's annual subscription. Third place winner - the magazine‘s annual subscription.

12. Competition organizers reserve the right not to publish the first-place winner, if none of the competition participants will match earlier mentioned criteria.

13. Technical criteria: Works which are made not with computer should be scanned 300 dpi resolution and should mach magazine cover (210 mm x 280 mm in the lap of the 3 sides of 5 mm). Work should have "Miesto IQ“ logotype (download logotype in .eps format). The logotype destination should be: from the top is 10 mm, from the left - 14 mm. Logotype size must be 76 mm x 69 mm. The logo must be isolated in a separate layer. Creating the cover, text, and other important elements are not recommended to do closer than 5 mm from the edges of the magazine. Cover for viewing should be sent in jpg or pdf format. Document size should be to 450 KB. For publishing the cover should be sent in TIFF format, at least 300 dpi resolution. Cover has to be converted to CMYK color card. Solid and Gradient bitmaps in magazine must not be lighter than 3% per CMYK channel.

14. Works should be send at konkursas@miestoiq.lt till 11 January
