PICTOPLASMA 3rd CONFERENCE. ANIMATION.

This year at Pictoplasma Conference visitors could enjoy lots of totally amazing screenings.

As always Pictoplasma Animation Festival was divided into three parts : CHARACTERS IN RHYTHM, CHARACTERS IN NARRATION and CHARACTERS IN MOTION and each part was presented in every three days of Pictoplasma Conferennce. The biggest fans were also invited to stay for a night and watch a PSYCHEDELIC MIDNIGHT MIX. In these days 108 screenings were shown and I want to share some of them with you.

CHARACTER IN RHYTHM:

In this musical part characters were happily dancing and singing it was bright, colourful and in many cases very lovely.

All fell in love with cute little yellow robot Keepon who proudly opened Animation Festival. He is designed to study social development by interacting with children. You can read more about it here

KEEPON DANCING.

Marek Michalkowki.

BOU.

Sotoru Ohno.

This story is more dramatic and less colourfull, but I found it very interesting and touching.

I LOVE YOUR MUSIC

E*Rock

Old-school electro music, psychedelic computer (game) landscape, and minimal child drawing style characters and disco lasers. Yes, it is on the wave, but we love it.

Two or three more animations can be found here.

CHARACTER IN NARRATION:

LOOKING THOUGH THE B-SIDES

Saiman Chow, Sean Dougherty.

I could find only a trailer of this stunning stop motion puppet film, but you can imagine it was very precise, detailed, colourfull and totally crazy.

THE BLACK DOG's PROGRESS

Stephen Irwin.

Black and white, odd, pen-scratched story told in a very stressful way. Many scenes are changing in a same time and it makes your eyes work very hard to catch every change.

It was visual and emotional pleasure to watching through pages of this book.

USERS GUIDES "EARTHQUAKE"

Richard Fenwick

There are situations when non of guides can help, even more, most of guides are totally useless. But a good sense of humour always helps ...

PLEASE SAY SOMETHING

David Oreilly

So simple and so familiar to many people. Relationships between man and a woman (mouse and a cat) is the inexhaustible theme.

Unfinished 3D look and cold computer city landscape makes this simple story more dramatic ans appealing.

CHARACTERS IN MOTION

The Biggest part of Animation Festival was full of advertisements.. I didn't find it very nice although most of them was very professional and creative.

Anyway we saw 57 videos and some were very nice and funny, but not always found on web.

One I really liked was BLOODY BAND AIDZ by Aaron Steward and Tod Lamb.

Sense of humour and nice catch of bloody metal characters and atmosphere.

SULEKHA.COM

E. Suresh

Historic characters meets modern needs. It was awesome !

CREME EGG

Chris Cairns

Really funny shorts from series how to kill myself in many ways. This time choco egg is killing his-self in very funny ways. Just watch some more from playlist and have a good day.

And the last part PSYCHEDELICK MIDNIGHT MIX.

Yes it was psychedelick and it was really awesome. You have to see it...all.. at night.. after long and busy day.

There are some of my favorite that night. Full list of animations you can download here.

MORRIS AND THE OTHER

Edwin Rostron.

OCTOCAT ADVENTURES

Davi Oreilly

BLINDNESS OF THE WOODS

Martin Jalfen, Javier Laurenco.

This the Best film to finish my presentation and writings. As you can see Pictoplasma Animation Festival was generous from cute to cute porno.

Good night.

Guste.
