Adolfo Serra aka Karkoma/Spain
WHAT IS YOUR BACKGROUND? I spent my childhood drawing, doodling and coloring walls. When I grew up, I initially refused to follow that path, until the day I came across my old watercolors...
DESCRIBE YOUR SELF. Chaotic.
DESCRIBE YOUR CREATION.Colorful and crazy. I think there is some kind of magic in every drop or stain of ink. I use the nickname of karkoma because it is the Spanish word to describe worms that live in wood. I think ideas are like them, little creatures with scary smiles, always trying to get alive and dying if they don´t become real.
YOUR INSPIRATION IS... everywhere, anything from a magazine pic to a creepy old doll.
YOUR INTERESTS/HOBBIES/FREE TIME...whenever I have some spare time I pack and fly. I am happy when I get lost in any city, always looking for strange things at second-hand markets.
YOUR LIKES/DISLIKES...It feels good when it rains and people run away. I enjoy a quiet Sunday breakfast but noisy neighbours and grey people make me mad.
YOUR FUTURE PLANS ARE....I don't know, I would like to be happy and keep on working bringing my ideas to reality.
YOUR BIGGEST DREAM... I will built my own clandestine striped socks factory, it would be fake, of course! Because behind of it, there would be my master plan: a circus of fleas that would bite everyone making them smile more.
WHAT ELSE WOULD YOU LIKE TO SAY:) SAY IT......I hate to talk about me...
YOUR IDEAS FOR COLLABORATION PROJECTS YOU WOULD LIKE TO PARTICIPATE.......Anything that scares me in a good way because I don´t know how to make it, or I still haven´t done... clothes, shoes, plush toys... there are plenty of things I am dying for!
